WordPress Developer

Responsibilities

• Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch.
• Customize existing themes and plugins as per project needs.
• Convert Figma, PSD, or InVision designs into responsive WordPress websites.
• Write clean, scalable, and well-documented PHP and JavaScript code.
• Manage and maintain existing WordPress websites and handle support tickets.
• Integrate third-party APIs and tools into WordPress.
• Ensure websites are optimized for speed, SEO, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Work with the backend team to integrate WordPress with other systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve website issues and bugs.
• Occasionally work on front-end tasks within PHP frameworks (e.g., Laravel, CakePHP)

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science & Engineering

Experience Requirements

• At least 2 years
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
  Software Company, IT Enabled Service, Business-to-Business (B2B) Software and Services Startup

Additional Requirements

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in WordPress development.
• Proficient in PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, SASS, Bootstrap, jQuery.
• Strong experience in developing and customizing WordPress themes and plugins.
• Familiarity with page builders like Elementor, WPBakery, etc.
• Experience working with Git, local development environments, and deployment workflows.
• Understanding of SEO best practices and website performance optimization.
• Experience with Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar design tools.
• Bonus: Knowledge of ReactJS and styled-components.
• Curious and open to learning new tools and techniques.
