SQA Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on product requirements.
• Perform thorough manual testing, including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.
• Identify, document, and meticulously track software defects using issue tracking systems like Jira, Asana, or Notion.
• Conduct in-depth API testing to validate functionality, performance, and security.
• Perform foundational security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and report potential security risks.
• Collaborate closely with developers to analyze defects and ensure timely resolutions.
• Support the release process and help improve our QA strategies by exploring new tools and automation techniques.

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of professional experience as an SQA Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong proficiency in manual testing methodologies and a solid understanding of automation principles.
• Hands-on experience testing mobile applications (iOS/Android) and RESTful APIs.
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), preferably in an Agile environment.
• Familiarity with fundamental web security testing principles (e.g., OWASP Top 10).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Technical Skills & Tools (Experience with these is a strong asset):

• API Testing: Postman, Insomnia
• Test Automation: Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, Katalon Studio
• Security Testing: OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite
• Test Management: TestRail, Zephyr
• Performance Testing: JMeter, LoadRunner
• CI/CD & DevOps: Jenkins, GitLab CI, Docker
• Visual Regression: Percy, Applitools
